It is important for each part of the University of Arizona to help build our reputation as a premier, public research university. Through thousands of web pages, collectively we are creating important impressions about this University so it is critical that our web pages present a consistent image across the entire site.
In order to clearly identify all UA websites as part of University, all Level One and Level Two UA websites are required to use an approved web graphic at the top of each page. What follows are specific policies for each area of the University. Please note that these policies are in addition to the existing Required Website Standards.
Level One Websites
This includes websites for colleges and schools, non-academic departments and service units. Level One websites include but are not limited to: Administration, Enrollment Management, Human Resources, Student Union and all UA museums. Complete list of Level One Websites For colleges, the web graphic should be used on all pages that are part of the overall college domain.
Level Two Websites
These include websites for all academic departments, research institutes, centers and bureaus, service and administrative units. Also included are UA committees, organizations and official student organizations.

Technical Requirements
Three UA Web logo choices are available:
The top left corner of any Web page is the most prominent element of a page; therefore all UA web sites should carry a strong University of Arizona brand identity in that location.
*on a site with 100% width, 20px from the edge of the browser window, when the main page content is held in a container, 20px from the edge of that container

The UA Web graphic must be placed prominently in the top left corner of the main page content in the site layout, with appropriate padding based on the wordmark chosen (see examples). Nothing may be placed above or to the left of the wordmark on the page.
One of the official web logos must be used unless a unit has another authorized unit or departmental wordmark, in which case that mark should be placed there. No other graphic element may be used in that location.
The UA Web Logo or wordmark may not be combined within a unit logo or wordmark. If a unit’s graphic logo contains the words “The University of Arizona,” these words can be omitted from the unit’s logo to avoid repetition.
The web logo image should always link back to the university home page at http://www.arizona.edu, and have an alt tag description of "The University of Arizona” or “The University of Arizona Home". When clicked, it should not open the UA Home page in a new browser window or tab.
